Pre-loved Uniforms

Money is getting tighter and tighter, and we know choices are having to be made over what to prioritise our spending on.  To help out we have gathered all the items of uniform which have been left over the year in school and placed it on a rail for you to come in and help yourself.  All they need is a good wash and freshening up, and they will be good as new.  At this age children grow out of uniform so quickly that this is a great way to save money and do a good bit of recycling for the planet.  Once you have finished with it put it back on the rack for others.

Free Food Friday

We know times are hard for our families due to the cost of living crisis.

We would like to help by having a FREE FOOD FRIDAY for families who would benefit from a few donated food items.

We will be reaching out to our wider community and asking for donations of everyday essential food items like tins of soup, pasta, rice, lentils, cereal, beans, sugar and crackers etc.

We will not be having fresh food like vegetables and bread etc. If you are able to support by offering donations or know of anyone within the community who would be able to donate, we would be very grateful if you could spread the word!!

We will provide a “dump bin” where donations brought into school can be left ready to be given out on Fridays. This will be situated at the bottom of the stairs leading to the kitchen.

When children leave on Friday at lunchtime, we will have a table set up in the meeting room by the kitchen steps for parents/carers to help themselves to a few items of food that they may need.

For families who are continually struggling to provide meals for their families please speak to Mrs Ware. She may be able to signpost you to agencies which are best suited to advise and support your needs.

Free Breakfast Bagels

Finding it hard to get your child into school? Struggling to get a decent breakfast down them?  Say hi to the free breakfast bagel!!

The National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP) is funded by the Department for Education and delivered by Family Action to support schools in England to provide children with a healthy breakfast at the start of the school day.

Come in before 8.30 and get a freshly baked bagel, plain or with jam.  Seeing other children eating and the excitement of getting something free at school can easily encourage children to copy the behaviour!

In school on time and with food in their stomachs what more could you ask for ;-)
