The School Day
School drop off and pick up times
All Year 1 and 2 children (classes 1 to 6) will be dropped off and picked up from the main playground, through the green gates.
Reception - Classes 8 (Ms Kang/Ms Thorley) and 9 (Ms Marshall) will be dropped off through the reception garden and picked up from there.
Reception Class 7 (Ms Wood) and Nursery Children will use the Nursery Gate for both pick up and drop off.
The school day will start at 8.30am every morning, for all children.
DROP OFF
The KS1 (Years 1 and 2) gates will be open at 8.20 in the morning, and you can drop your children off to wait in the playground. Staff will be on the gates and in the playground to keep your child safe. They will then go in at 8.30. The gates will then close at 8.35 as registration will have finished and children will then be in assembly.
For reception and morning Nursery, the gates will open at 8.30 and close at 8.35. If you arrive late you will need to take your child through the main playground and through the main entrance. However, please do your best not to be late as it makes the start of the day difficult for your child.
For Afternnon Nursery gates will be opened at 12.30 and closed at 12.35. If you arrive late you will need to take your child through the main playground and through the main entrance. However, please do your best not to be late as it makes the start of their session difficult for them.
PICK UP
School finishes at 3.30 Monday to Thursday and 1pm on Fridays.
In the afternoon the KS1 gates will open at 3.20 Monday to Thursday for you to enter the playground ready to pick your child up at 3.30. On Friday the gates will open at 12.50 for you to enter the playground ready to pick your child up at 1. Please do not be late on a Friday as all staff have training from 1.10 every Friday afternoon. When collecting your child from the main playground please do not take them unless a teacher has sent them to you, or you have let the teacher know.
Afternoon club on Friday is available for parents who are working or parents in further education. Please ask Mrs Ware for further information.
For Reception the gates will open at 3.30 and parents will be let through in small groups to ensure safety for all in the reception setting. Parents are asked not to bring in older siblings as it gets too crowded. They can be left to wait with Mr Palmer at the gate. The gate will be closed at 3.40. Late parent/carers will then have to work through the playground to th main entrance and ask for their child at the office. On Friday the gate will open at 1pm and close at 1.10pm. Once closed, the same protocol will follow for late pickup.
Morning Nursery will be 8.30-11.30 and afternoon session 12.30-3.30 Monday to Friday.
The school is open for 32.5 hours a week for Reception and years 1 and 2 and 15 hours for each Nursery group.

You can change your child's Library book any day of the week between 8:30-8:40am and 3:30-3:40. Just go to the main school Library and fill out the record sheet for your child, filling out the title of the book you are borrowing and the date.

PE days
On PE days children do not need their School Uniform. Please send them to school in their school PE kit.
