PEACE DAY WALK
We are celebrating the United Nations' Day of Peace on Wednesday the 18th of September.
Dear Year 1 and Year 2 Parents and Carers
On Saturday 21st of September, all over the world, they are celebrating the United Nations - International Day of Peace and we would like to celebrate with the rest of the world.
We want to show that at Whitehall, peace is important to us.
We do not fight, we listen and talk. First we hear what the other person is saying and then we share our feelings. Finally we work out a way of working together in harmony.
On Wednesday 18th we will be walking from school to create a circle of peace flags at Palfrey Park, by the bandstand.
You are very welcome to join us walking to the Park and join our walk for PEACE. Please wait outside the school gates and then join your child in their line as they walk at 1:30 pm.
Please make sure your child wears white clothes or at least light, pastel colours on Wednesday to symbolise peace. It would be great if you wore white clothes too!
