Mental Health Awareness Week Distance Learning Course - sign up now

Today is the start of Mental Health Awareness Week which aims to tackle stigma and help people understand and prioritise their own and other people’s mental health.

To help people’s understanding of mental health and how they can support themselves and others, Walsall College has a number of mental health related home based learning courses.

These Distance Learning courses are available to study at home, around your own schedule and they are available to register for all year round.

These courses are open to anyone aged 19+ who lives in England and has lived in the country for more than three years. The course we have available in this area are:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems
  • Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of the Mental Health Care Worker
  • Level 2 Certificate in Self-harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention
  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism
  • Level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People’s Mental Health
  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace
  • Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

Our Level 2 courses are free, while free funding for our Level 3 course could be available dependent on an individual’s circumstances.
